How do I hide photos in a share?
There will be times when you want to hide specific photos from your share in order to stop them being shown to your friends. We've made this easy, just do the following:
1 -- First go into a share with photos you want to hide, as example below. Here you'll see all your photos clearly displayed.
2 -- Next press and hold anywhere on the screen which displays thumbnails. This will cause all images to pulsate and change your bottom options to 'Cancel' or 'Save' as shown below:
3 -- Now you can tap any images to mark them as hidden! Once you've selected which ones you want to hide (or unhide) press 'Save' or, if you've changed your mind, just press 'Cancel'.
Once you've selected which images are to be hidden and pressed save, your share will display all photos to you with the word 'hidden' on images you selected to hide.
4 -- For some shares, perhaps your mobile Camera Roll, you may prefer that any new photos you take/add are automatically hidden, requiring you to then unhide them using the methods displayed above. To set all new photos to be auto-hidden you'll need to tap on 'Config' from your share. Here you'll have the option to auto-hide all new photos.

What's the best quality to use and how do I set it?
We currently allow two options for receiving and offering photos: SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition). Generally for a mobile device SD is recommended as the resolution is high enough and it also reduces the storage size of photos and bandwith required to receive/offer. HD is better for desktop, laptops and high quality tablets with resolutions able to utilise HD quality. HD requires more space and bandwidth use.
You can select which quality to offer via the config screen of each specific share, as shown below. You should leave this set to HD if you want to allow your friends to choose which quality they receive.
You can also select which quality you receive from a friends share through the config screen of their individual shares, as shown below:

Setting your profile picture
To set up your profile picture simply swipe up on a photo. You will then see a screen showing a preview of how your profile picture will look, allowing you to drag the selection box and to resize it to your liking by pressing and dragging the corners. Once you're happy with how your profile picture looks, select 'Set Profile' to save or 'Cancel' if you've changed your mind. Example below:

How to view photo details (such as date taken etc)
Each photo has some details stored with it. You can see the Filename, Image Quality, Image Dimensions, Date Taken, Date Added and, if available, the Latitude and Longitude coordinates of the location the photo was taken. To see photo details you simply need to 'swipe down' when looking at a photo. To remove the information just 'Swipe up' or alternatively leave it there whilst flicking through photos to always see details. Example below:

Saving a photo
You can save photos that you're receiving from your friends. To do this you'll need to 'swipe down' on a photo to initially view the photo details. From here you can either 'swipe down' again to display saving options or tap on the 'Save File' icon. This will then allow you to select wich quality you want to save the photo. (NB. You can only save the qualities that you've received the photo in). As shown below:
To remove the saving options you can either 'swipe up' twice, or tap on 'Done' then 'swipe up'.

Where is my data stored?
We do not store your photos or videos on our servers. This is important because your privacy is our highest concern, so your photos are only stored on your devices and with whoever you've chosen to share them with. Note that currently we only distribute SD (Standard Definition) and HD (High Definition) images, not the raw file itself.

Configuring for best performance behind a router
Best performance on your home network can be guaranteed if you have UPnP enabled on your router. For instructions on how to do this please see details supplied by your Internet Service Provider. Normally this involves browsing to your router's IP address and searching for a UPnP setting - if you find it, and it is off, please turn it on. You may need to restart IWannaShare for it to detect the new setting.
